yup
altho there was an alarming amount of what looked like spam on here yesterday.
It wouldn't normally be that much of a problem, but it seemed to polarize regulars into a weird Hoots Out/Happy clappers dichotomy.
As I was saying before the season started I reckon it'll take the new signing some time to gel and get used to the Prem & I hoped both they and the manager got some time to do that.
On the flipside, I thought our starting 11 yesterday looked unbalanced, but could see (some) logic behind it.
While Fer is being touted as a DM, he has played in a role up front, supporting the striker, abroad.
Would have thought that Olson on the left, redmond on the right and Howson in support of attack might have given us more options, but testing out that formation against (what should have been) easier opposition, doesn't seem unreasonable. Two reffing decisions changed the game quite a bit yesterday and while I'm hugely disappointed I think it's disingenuous to say either we were terrible all last season or that all is right and rosy.
Any room for shades of grey on here d'ya reckon?
