keener (and probably younger) cyclist than me. Used to commute to work all the time by bike in Cambridge but not been on one since I moved up here.
I'm really looking for something to use for leisure with around lanes and tracks, cycle ways, bridle paths rather than sports cycling up hills. However, if I can afford a half reasonable bike I may find I'm inclined to do more. That's the dilemma - I don't want to spend hundreds on a bike I might only use a bit in the summer but on the other hand I don't want something that is such a dog it'll be horrible to ride and keep breaking.
