fwiw, this is the review I posted a while ago

Really excellent This is the best keyboard for Android. I've tried quite a few (both free and paid) on my old HTC Desire and continued to use this on the Galaxy S2. I've recommended it to other Android users and I think everyone that has tried it has used it. It's better than Apple's excellent, but non-replaceable keyboard, as it has better predictions and quicker punctuation. It also makes phones with older/cheaper touch-screens more pleasant to use, such as the Galaxy Ace. Learning from Facebook/Twitter/Gmail is just the icing on the cake. The predictions are the best thing about the keyboard, as it quickly and accurately learns what you are trying to say. Also, SwiftKey as a company actually respond to user feedback and improve the product. Older versions of this keyboard had a space-bar that was too small and resulted in the punctuation key being pressed accidentally. It took them a while to change it, but they responded to feedback on the forums and eventually released an improved version. Developments like Flow and Cloud demonstrate that they are updating and improving an already excellent product. This is the closest you will get to an "essential" app for Android devices.
