In defence of this, they are grown adults who are aware of how the show works.

If they bicker like children over the revelation of things that are said behind people's backs, then it's a valuable lesson to them about what happens when you talk about people behind their backs - especially when you do it on live television.

It's kind of the point of the series, that you have no privacy. Contestants really should expect manipulation from Big Brother - I've no issue with the face to face nominations, family and friends interference, secret rooms where housemates see everything, etc, it's where they had a complete disregard for the safety of housemates that I had a problem.
