Ha ha - that's a great book - I read that when I was about 18, lent it by g/f at the time.
The man is an abject genius. Pervert and deviant, but a genius. Must read it again.
Seriously recommend The Human Stain if you like Roth. It's not a chuckle-along I-Can't-belive-what-I'm-reading like Portnoy's Complaint, but it's bloody marvelous.
