well, both could be true
to agree to play in the chumps, he would have demanded *loads* more than we had to pay him for the chance to play in the prem.
Makes sense, especially if you think he has a better WC chance with us (actually I think he's got precious little chance of that, at least under Hodgson, but shhhh no-one tell him that...)
