Cloud Atlas is so different from the normal - loved the book and the fillum

Silver Linings Playbook I thought I'd hate (despite Jennifer Lawrence being in it) as I don't go for "date movies". But I loved it right off - it's brilliantly done.

The other "unexpected joy" I saw recently was Little Miss Sunshine which is not at all what you think it's going to be before you watch it. It's dark and funny.
