Damn, so they parse the internal messages for keywords?
I still think you've got a case for not getting charged and they would literally have to parse the messages and then send you an invoice claiming the sale took place through EB.
I've got away with cancelling a listing and selling for cash on collection all arranged via EB messages even quite recently so I think there's a chance you'll be fine?
