Away goals

Some people place too much emphasis on statistics. Others go too far in discounting the trends they show. It's pretty difficult to ignore this though.

In our 9 away matches against the other teams in the bottom half of the table, we have managed just THREE goals.

And ZERO against the three bottom clubs.

Won NONE.

Our attitude away from home has just been absolutely baffling. Against teams who could struggle in the face of a positive start, we've never taken the initiative. Whatever happens, and I still back Hughton, he needs to evolve from this obsession that only a point will do away. We can't expect to do as well at home again necessarily.

For balance, have to point out that in the corresponding home matches, we haven't lost any (with Villa still to play). Albeit with three 0-0 draws also!
