Not sure who should have took it instead

Wes has missed 3 pens for Norwich, so he's not a safe bet.

Elliot Ward is the only other decent pen taker (yes, I'm praising Ward, wow) but he's out of the picture.

Unfortunately the keepers save them sometimes. I would have been on the same boat as you if he had done a Wes vs Preston, but it was a solid pen that was on target. It happens.

I've not been a fan of Holt's attitude this season. He has been misused, but that's not an excuse for his poor fitness, red card challenges and 'bigger than the club' mentality since last summer. However, I'm not going to include that pen miss as a part of it.
