Had had 2 seasons prior to the prem (incrediblu successful I know). But the point is he had had 2 seasons to shape his squad to his ideas before going at it in the prem. Let's have it right, yes the football was more exciting, but we had more than our share of luck last season too. Agreed there is a decnt argument to say you make your own luck through expansive attacking football, but there is every chance that that luck could go against you too. Hughton's approach is far more pragmatic. Lets judge him after 10/15 games next season.
