Went through Miami airport several years back

Only in transit; but you still have to go through immigration. Huge queues everywhere and got treated like utter s**t by everyone in a uniform. They really do think all non-US citizens (and plenty of their own - usually those with non-white skins) are potential terrorists. Actually pretty much refuse to go there now because of that. Fuck 'em.
