I don't get why party when someone dies of old age

Party when they get chucked out of office or parliament/council etc, but death? Bit tasteless if you ask me - even if I was around during hitler times, I'd have celebrated when he was defeated or killed in battle (of course) but dying as an old man many many years after his atrocities, seems a bit much.
