that if we stay up Hughton will get an unprecedented amount to spend. Quite the opposite, he will be told to offload the deadwood ('bye Horse) and buy with the proceeds plus a MODEST top-up.
After all, he has shown himself capable of keeping a below-par team in this league by getting them punching above their weight, and will be expected to do the same next year.
