Just seen the nani red for the first time. I think
It was a red. He could have gotten off with a yellow. But red is acceptable. The way I saw it he first raised his foot in a manner which suggested he didn't see the defender coming and was going to control the high ball quite athletically. But then the last couple of frames he looks at the defender (understandably) but what leads me to believe it was a red is because at the same time he lifts his toes and shows his studs as he makes contact. I think the first action was innocent and that by the time he realised, contact was inevitable, but then he seems to have decided to make the most if it.
So
OFF!

- It's just so bizarre to hear a decision so berated. It's not even controversial (n/m) (Other Football) - pants, Mar 8, 13:39:56
