Well said

Several of them are a disgrace to their "professional".

But the problem is, several of them want Worthington to go (McVeigh, Brennan, Jarrett etc) so they're hardly going to bust a gut to keep him.

So while you can quite correctly blame the players for their lack of effort, the deeper problem lies elsewhere.
