but today the physical effort was lacking

I agree when the players put physical effort in they should not be criticised, but when they don't, like today and at QPR, they deserve to have their integrity and honesty questioned as professionals.

If today was the best Jason Jarrett could produce, then fair do's. But it wasn't. As he played quite well in the second half V Cardiff.

As for losing mental commitment, that may be true. But players should still try. Roy Keane wouldn't accept that excuse, and I don't think we should either, although I do accept it is a fact of life with some people that this happens.

And yes the manager has ultimate responsibility. Which is why he is doomed, because if he can't get the players playing (who I think are a disgrace anyway as they should be up for every game on their own without the manager) then there isn't a lot he can do.

But if I could, I would sack some of our squad tonight without compensation. Sadly I cannot.
