things to try....

make sure the cable from pc to monitor hasn't become loose
if you can source them...
a different cable
different monitor (i know it switches on but perhaps not receiving signal is sign to a problem)
if your pc has a graphics card and onboard graphics (basically has two places the monitor can be plugged into the back of the pc), try that

have you installed any software of late or done updates that may have caused an issue?

multitude of potential reasons this im afraid.

a friend of wrothy friend to visit could quite possibly be needed
