As I said, not a lot of evidence because EB hasn't played a great deal. But Pilks has, and

I've always thought he's much too inconsistent. He's like 30% of a great footballer. What he has that EB doesn't is unshakeable self-confidence, but technically EB is a much better player IMO. I would love to see him get a run in the team in a position where he can be creative.
