UPDATE: The Nasie Anti-Table of Tilt 2012/2013. The three teams that will be regulated...
... as it stands with 13 games to go... will be QPhaha, Wigans and.... drum roll.... Aston Villol.
Two matches on since my last table User Posted Link and there is one change in the bottom three. Reading have done us all a favour and dumped Shambert right in it!
In other news, Manure stroll to a 20th Premier League title, and The Norwich finish in 12th place. HEAR THAT NERVOUS NELLIES???? Twelfthfththfth!!!!!!!
Using the same method as last time (the assumption that everyone replicates the form from the previous 13 games over the final 13 matches of the season), here is how the final table (fingers crossed) will look like on Sunday 19th May 2013 at 18.03 hours.
Man U 97
Man C 78
Spurs 73
Chelsea 68
Everton 64
Arsenal 63
Liverpool 57
Swansea 52
Stoke 47
Sunderland 46
WBA 45
NORWICH 42
West Ham 41
Fulham 40
Newcastle 40
Southampton 40
Reading 37
Aston Villa 33
Wigan 31
QPR 30
Of course there will be up-turns and down-turns in form over the final 13 games, and as always eyebrows will be raised several times over the next three and a half months. However, we're getting to the part of the season where games are running out, and with the current bottom 8 teams each having to play AT LEAST a third of their remaining games against a relegation rival... the moving and shaking at the bottom will become less pronounced. Here's who still has to play who...
QPR: Soton, AV, Fulham, Wigan, Reading and Newcastle. ** This is make or break for 'Arry. Six teams involved in the relegation battle to play over their last 11 games. That's HALF their remaining fixtures to play for survival. This could be a good thing for QPR. Unless it's not.**
AV: Reading, QPR, Fulham, Norwich, Wigan (last day regulation show-down!)
Wigan: Reading, Newcastle, Norwich QPR, AV (last day regulation show-down!)
Reading: Wigan, AV, Soton, Norwich, QPR, Fulham.
Soton: Newcastle, QPR, Norwich, Reading.
Newcastle: Soton, Wigan, Fulham, QPR.
Norwich: Fulham, Soton, Wigan, Reading, AV.
Fulham: Norwich, QPR, Newcastle, AV, Reading.
A final word of comfort(ish) for us is the current form table based on the last 13 games. From the bottom.. 20) Wigan 10 points from 13. 19) West Ham 11 points from 13. 18) WBA 11 points from 13. 17) Villa 12 points from 13... then come Fulham, Newcastle, QPR and Reading before us in 12th place with 14 points from 13 games. As with WBA and West Ham, we got points on the board early (that 10 game un-beaten run will prove invaluable in the final shake-up of things).
IF my calculations play out the way I've documented above, then technically we only need an average of 0.46 points per game to ensure Premier League football at FCR again next year.
Huzzah and indeed Hurrah!! (If only it were that simple....)
Too many words. ;)
