Exactly,i am 6ft 3, was considered big when i played but the keepers now are enormous.

.but he's not just a lump.he's athletic with it,has quick feet, which you need with modern day balls.I'd seen Ruddy at motherwell a few times as i had sky at the time so knew he was a good keeper,he still got remorselessly slagged in his first year though! When i was a kid a kid people would say when i made a mistake, " don't worry, you're the last line of defence so it looks worse".
I used to think that was a copout,but it's true.
