The trouble with increasing capacity
As I see it, with our sell out/near sell out matches, and with approx 2000 on the waiting list, I, like many others would be reluctant to give up my season ticket even if we played like we did versus Luton last week.
Now, should the club increase capacity to >30000 seats by rebuilding the main stand, there would be a likelihood that most matches would be far from sold out. If the club suffered prolonged mediocrity or relegation, I might be tempted to consider giving up my season ticket and picking and choosing which matches to attend. If the performances became so dire, I might not bother at all.
This is the dilemma the club face regarding ground expansion.
As it is, the capacity/fans balance at Carrow Rd is just about right.
