R Bennett, Barnett, Howson, Fox, Jackson, E Bennett...

...all started on Saturday, and were all bought by Lambert. I guess if he'd have stayed we'd have had players like Lowton and Westwood as well.

I often wonder if Lambert's success with us was based on momentum.

When it comes to strength in depth, Hughton is dealing with what Lambert left him, and it seems that isn't much, quality wise.

Hughton's trying to address this, with quality players like Bassong, but he can't buy 15 of them straight off.

I reckon we'll just about stay up, and in the summer they'll be a big upheaval. People like Turner will be the reserves and the likes of Ryan Bennett will be out on his ear.

Its almost a transitional period at the mo, whilst Hughton can spend time getting players in that bolster the squad.

If that makes sense. Which it might not.
