Boring, yes, defensive, not necessarily

I think the plan is to move the ball forward with purpose, but in a measured way so that there's always support for the man in possession. However, with the personnel at hand, this often means that the defence has plenty of time to organise itself, and the only chances are half- or snap-chances. It's cautious, it's dull but it's not defensive, It's just not working at the moment.
