There's an element of truth to that

Most managers can ride the crest of a wave. Worthy did it in 2004, it happens all the time.

The extra special managers are the ones who can turn things around when the going gets really tough (Worthy couldn't). This is now a true measure of whether Lambert really is all that or not.
