Erm, I just quoted a Pant's post which agreed with the Creo mentality.

I'm not disagreeing that he "didn't contribute much to the team" in terms of actual team play because he was never a hard worker, a hold up striker or a link up player, but he certainly contributed in terms of making a difference in results.

It's difficult to say whether his inclusion in a team was the reason why they were average, you can't pin that all down to one player.
