Watched on the stream today and for all of annoying repetition Fairclough hit the nail on

the head.

Its amazing how many times crosses were struck to be perfect, rather than in the right general area. If the ball is hung up in the air (a la Bennett) the strikers are far more likely to convert them. I lost count of the number of crosses that didn't beat the first man, or were within the reach of a very in form keeper.

E Bennett hit two of the best crosses all afternoon from two of the most challenging positions. It isn't rocket-science to work out that he is the one player who consistently has the confidence to run and beat a defender.
