I know some made pitiful excuses for lambert's last half season here

"already safe", "difficult run in" etc but looking at Villa now I wonder where we would be if he had stayed?

Would he have had the nous to get a Tettey and Bassong/Turner quality in to shore things up? I'm not convinced.

It may just be that we were done a big favour when he jumped ship. There's q big ? over whether he can get teams to keep things tight.
