straightforward, mate

Open the .srt file up in Notepad and sit that next to the video while it plays so as to satisfy yourself that they match OK. Then use Format Factory, Add File (Holy Motors. avi), output settings/additional subtitle - point it at the .srt file and while you're there I'd set the titles size to Small, too, as it tends to use a silly big font. Takes only a few minutes.
