My Father in law is thinking of buying my mother in law a computer

This is huge step for my mother in law!!

She wants to be able to take it round the house for convenience so a laptop or maybe a tablet, but she knows next to nothing about the internet email or other computer based stuff. She can type ok though and is willing to learn about the www and email.

I thought that something easy and intuitive to use would be better for her which maybe rules out a laptop but I?m no expert on tablets if this is the best for her.

They?re not short of a quid or two so cost isn?t an issue so is an Ipad the best thing for her?
