No I'm not bing facetious.

It's really ipad 4 (but not called that) and replaces ipad 3 (which you can no longer buy).

You can still buy an ipad 2 though.

Of course if you go on ebay you can buy an ipad, an pad 2 an ipad 3 and a new ipad.
