I agree with what you are saying and...

will feel as strongly as you if the situation is the same in, say, 4 years time. I am hoping that we'll see a few come through in that time, as the current youth team seems to have some promising players.

My point was that maybe those released have just not been good enough.

I think it's been difficult over the last year or two as we were involved in pressure situations at the top and bottom of the league and (Worthy) didn't want to risk throwing them in. Saying that, Hendo played quite a few games in the promotion season and Shackell did well last season.

As somebody said the other day, I think we should also try and sign young players from the top clubs' reserves and youth teams.
