Coffee table will be ok if you can adjust the keystone (I think it's called) enough.

When they're pointing up towards the projection surface, the angle of the light means that the top of the "screen" is further away from the projector than the bottom, and therefore wider.

But there's an adjustment on projectors to compensate for that, as I say I think it's called keystone.

Don't you usually get a Man in for this sort of thing? I'd do that. Get a Projector Man in to tell you what projector you need for coffee table sittage viewing.
