People have been complaining about Hoots playing too safe.
Compared to Woy he's highly adventurous. I get the feeling that Hodgson is looking at this as his last job before he retires and doesn't want to rock the boat by picking players from "unfashionable" clubs. I wouldn't be surprised to hear he'd asked Shearer to come out of retirement to lead his line!
