Tech help: MS Money 2001/Windows 8

I have a decent enough desktop machine and want to upgrade to Windows 8. However the compatibility tools say MOney 2001 won't run on Windows 8. I had the same with Windows 7 but it runs just fine - but before I bite the bullet and upgrade I want to know if it'll still work. Unlike last time, where I giylfed and found lots of people who'd done it and said it worked, this time I can't find any comment (that it works or that it doesn't).

Can any wrother shed any light?
