Since when does having two strikers mean more attacking?

I've seen us defend attack after attack with two strikers on the pitch. I've also seen us create lots of chances with only one. The fact that Guzan was Villa's busiest and best player even before they had Bennett sent off surely says something?

Probably would have scored 8 or something had Morison been on, I guess.
