So "you African bastard" would be an offence, as would "you Spanish t**t"

In fact there is a Scottish case in which someone was convicted of a racially aggravated offence for continually shouting "die you fat Geordie bastard" (Moscrop v Procurator Fiscal, Aigust 2011)

This follows from the statutory definition of racial group: "?racial group? means a group of persons defined by reference to race, colour, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origins"

So in summary: stupid question
