If however he didn't and it's just found that he swore at players then I have to say considering the abuse players give refs then it's understandable if a ref swears back.

We've all seen players clearly swearing at officials, putting pressure on them, surrounding them and generally behaving towards them in a way that, if they did it to someone on the street, could result in them getting a right hander.

Difficult though as refs surely have to set an example, but you can understand why they might crack and bite back.

Just to reiterate, any racist content is totally unjustifiable.
