lamberts problem with the club
is interesting and comes from relationships with some of the board. Villa approached him at easter i am told by a friend of a villa board member (ok its not 100 % but he is convinced). Each time he was rumoured to be agitating to leave it was to clubs in not as good a position as us - Burnley and WHU -which only makes sense in the context that it wasnt money at stake - or the central issue - but something else.
Also if you remember him saying in an interview that someone in the club had leaked personal info to the press about his divorce/affair and seemed, perhaps understandably pissed off about it. add this to what he said about speaking to our chairman it is clear that there was a breakdon at a senior level. I also suspect like many driven people he is a difficult to get along with.
Still all in the past, come on Hoots!!
