I always remember at the time of the Burnley rumour

how f**ked off I was with McNally for what I perceived to be an unnecessary drawing out of ther whole issue. No flat denials, no unequivocal statements. It felt like he was playing us and the media, almost for having the cheek to takle these rumours seriously.

And yet, it was Lambert all along, holding him to ransom and generally playing the c**t.
