A bend on or near your elbow joint is classified as a throw in cricketing terms.

Malinger the Slinger's bowling arm is gun-barrel straight and therefore legal by definition of a bowl. The difficulty for batterers is Malinger's height (he's a relative short-arse for a quick) and release point of the ball is much lower than traditional bowler's, thus making it harder to play a flatter delivered ball.
