If we'd spent 7m on a striker on deadline day (which I presume you'd have been happy with), and he broke his toe last night, we'd be in exactly the same position, wouldn't we.

Unless it turns out Kane has metatarsals made of balsa wood and, in our haste to get his medical done, we didn't spot it.
