Memories of John Bond and first memories of suppoting City!
Went to my first match at 'the Carra' in 1973 whwn JB was our new manager. Wwe travelled on Bird's coackes from Huns'ton and heacham for ?1 return! We played the Scum (and that big nosed bastard Mariner) and won 2-1 I think it was. We had some great players in those days - Phil and Ted are still my favourite City strikeforce to this day and Kevin Reeeves was quality. Didn't JB sign Chris Woods - can't remember.
The man was a character with real charisma - my only critisism would be his insistence on playing his useless son, who was s**t.
The best way to remeber him would be to stuff the scousers this weekend.
RIP John Bond - City legend!
