Holt

My thoughts on Holt. But first, we are in season 2012/2013 so no looking back and thinking about past seasons. There is no room for sentiment or loyalty in football. Just remember that Holt was very quick to demand to leave thus showing no loyalty (I am not moaning about this as he wants to look after his family but if he wants to show no loyalty then why should we?).
I suspect that his new contract was for more money (!) so we should expect that this performance should improve to justify it.
So 4 games into the season and no goals, is this a problem, well perhaps not yet as it is only 4 games. Of more concern is that yesterday he seemed not ?up for it? as he was previously. Now is that due to Holt or the players around him not providing the opportunities? I didn?t see too many great crosses into the box yesterday but equally I didn?t notice Holt doing much chasing. But perhaps the biggest worry is that he has not yet been booked! His game is about battles and for that he gets more than his fair share of bookings. I doubt if refs have become more lenient to him so maybe he is not getting involved so much.
Finally, people have moaned that Holt would have scored when Kane?s not very good shot was saved but I question if Holt would have been in that position from a breakaway from the Norwich half.
