If Holt Is Overweight & Unfit...

Then why is he in the team? He shouldn't even be in the matchday 18.

He may claim and others may say he needs games, he needs to play, to get up to match fitness.

Bollocks.

If he is out of condition/overweight then he sweats buckets, works hard and gets himself match fit by which ever means works the best for him. THEN he gets his chance of selection.

No professional footballer at this level should be indulged so much he can use a game to help himself get fit. Smack in the face for Moro if he is match fit and ready to play and give his all and he finds himself behind someone still working off the excesses of his holidays.

4-4-1-1, 4-5-1, whatever it is, needs a mobile, fast and fit forward to work. He isn't the sort of player to be left in isolation and we are certainly not the sort of team to play a cautious defensive game and haven't been since Ron Saunders.

Today was all wrong-at least the 7-1 looked as if it was a means to an end, today just feels like the beginning of the end. Of course, thats an over reaction but don't you just know that, right now, if we start with 1 up front again next week and Holt is still looking ineffective, fit or not, up there...its gonna be nasty!
