Why does everyone hate Owen so much

One of England's best ever strikers, seems a decent bloke compared to most arrogant footballer types. Would be good to have around if the deal was right.

Sure this next move is not about the money for him so if he will come for a signing on fee and fit into our wage structure I would welcome him.
