you typically get an interest free period on each card which means you don't have to pay off immediately to stop interest being incurred.

Basically what you want to do is just setup a direct debit to pay off your full statement balance each month. That will ensure you get charged no interest and also take advantage of the interest free period which effectively means you can also earn interest on the cash that's left in your current / savings that would otherwise have been spent.
