Hero worship in reverse

When I was young and fonky it never appealed to me to try and look or dress like my rock heroes. I worked with a kid who was Compelled by Fashion to look first Punk, then New Wave and then New Romantic and you could tell whether or not he liked Heaven 17's new single by looking at his new haircut. Not me; it was never important.

So it was interesting to bump into this youtube clip, arriving there circuitously, to discover that one of my heroes of the 70s, Andy Powell of Wishbone Ash, has spent the intervening years working hard to look like ME.

I asked my daughter if she agrees that we're lookylikeys and she says Not really, He Just Looks Like Your Sims Character but she did give him top marks for matching my "contentedly smug expression that you probably don't know you have", which I didn't, but now she's pointed it out I think I know which one she means.
