more than I thought TBH considering most South American countries

produce very few competitive athletes. The big difference TV wise in the coverage here is that it's very Chile focused, so if a Chilean isn't in it they will not sound very enthused with it, also knowledge of what's going on pretty poor, I have watched the Olympics today mostly on a BBC1 stream on my laptop for all the reasons above do my head in. As for the general public, the Opening Ceremony was very well received, I watched it in 3 different places over the 4hrs and people of all ages were loving it. It seems to be on in most places and people are talking about it.
