none of those (Crook, Fox or Sutton) had the game-changing abilities Hucks had though

Fox would go belting off down the wing, and might even get a cross in at the end, But he very rarely created things out of nothing the way Hucks did.

Sutton scored goals others wouldn't have. And he could lay things on for others if he got the ball in and around the penalty area. But he still needed the service, in the end.

And Crook was obviously different class. But he didn't actually get in the opposition penalty area very often.

I can't remember a Nodge player who created and scored ghouls out of nothing the way Hucks did. Might be forgetting someone, but I don't think there's been one since I started watching properly in the late 70s. (Mind you, I missed Eadie at his best 'cos lived abroad for a few years. Did he compare?)
